Justin almost stabbed again? Where is police?

Today I read that Justin Bieber almost stabbed by crazy fan. I wonder where the police or bodyguards are? I'm very nervous because my favorite singer almost stabbed. It happened in New York, in a cafe, middle of the day.....Justin at the last minute was saved by a random passerby. The attacker was arrested, I hope he will get the maximum sentence.
